Wetroom Gallery
This gallery shows some of the many wetrooms that J Crombie
Plumbing & Heating recently completed. Wetrooms are a great
super-stylish addition to any property, but to ensure it provides
you with years of trouble free bathing it is essential that the
room is correctly stripped and sealed properly with a waterproof tanking membrane. The gallery below provides details of the
stripping out, pipework installation, tanking membrane
installation and tiling. Further down the page are examples of
other wetrooms we have installed.
Wetroom Installation Details
Please note: Photographs were taken prior to final polish of the wall and floor tiles.This photograph shows the stripped-out wetroom prior to the tanking and tiling. All the existing tiles and plaster require removal to ensure that the tanking membrane achieves a good bond with the structure leading to a permanent water tight seal.
Here we can see that the plywood wetroom floor has been installed along with the 1st fix pipework, trap and waste pipe.
The next phase of the installation is to install the waterproof membrane and sealing compound. This is a critical stage and a great deal of care and attention to detail is required to ensure that all joints are water tight.
The next phase of the wetroom installation is the floor tiles. The photograph below shows the installed floor tiles, waterproof membrane and sealing compound.
Here we can see that the wetroom is nearing completion, with the shower and towel rail now installed.

Budget Wetroom
Wetrooms dont need to cost the earth. J Crombie Plumbing & Heating are specialist in designing the wetroom you have always dremt about but felt you could not afford. The photos below are testament to what can be achived when installing a wetroom on a budget.
Mosaic Wetroom
Here out customer wanted the look and feel of a wetroom but contained within a traditional bathroom setting. We installed a mosaic tiled wetroom, but then added a shower screen to maintain the functionallity of the overall bathroom. This bathroom is testament to what can be achived with some careful planning and creative thinking.
Wetroom In A Cupboard
Our brief for the following project was the installation of a wetroom in an under stairs cupboard. This clever use of space not only added value to the customers property but increased it's overall functionallity. The following picture show a wetroom installation in a cupboard.
